Connecting the Dots: Trafficking in Persons & Violence Against Women and Girls (CSW69 Side Event).


The event will be conducted in a panel format comprised by UN Member States, UNODC, UNDP, and civil society organizations, and will explore the linkages between trafficking in persons and violence against women and girls.

On the occasion of the 69th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women, the Permanent Missions of Cyprus and Tajikistan to the United Nations, together with UNODC and UNDP Finance Against Slavery and Trafficking (FAST) Initiative are co-hosting a side event entitled:

Gender equality is a must for a world of zero hunger , where all women, men, girls and boys can exercise their human rights, including the right to adequate food . According to WFP , 45 million people would have enough to eat by closing the gender gap on farm productivity .
