Women, Conflict, and Peace: A Universal Feminist Vision (CSW69 Side Event).


This discussion will highlight the urgent need to recognize and address violence against women while showcasing their critical role in conflict resolution and peacebuilding.

Event Objectives:

The World Jewish Congress (WJC) seeks to host an in-person parallel event during CSW69 to catalyze multi-stakeholder dialogue and inspire collective action to address these pressing challenges.

This event will aim to:
  • Highlight the critical role of women in conflict resolution, peacebuilding, and countering violent extremism.
  • Analyze systemic barriers to women's participation in security and peace processes.
  • Facilitate discussions on safeguarding women's and girls' rights, ensuring violations are recognized, addressed, and that perpetrators are held accountable.
  • Showcase successful examples of women-led initiatives in conflict prevention, resolution, and advocacy for gender equality.
  • Promote universal feminist solidarity by exploring best practices, strategies, and collective efforts for advancing women's rights.
