The International Women’s Day event has started, and host Sade Baderinwa, ABC Eyewitness News anchor, says rights are not negotiable.





"Here we are, still demanding a seat at the table," she said. "This year, we're digging into this fight."

Gender equality is a must for a world of zero hunger , where all women, men, girls and boys can exercise their human rights, including the right to adequate food . According to WFP , 45 million people would have enough to eat by closing the gender gap on farm productivity .
