Violence against women need urgent attention.




It's the eve of International Women’s Day, marked annually on March 8th, so the United Nations Specialized agencies and colleagues on the ground around the world are sharing what's on their mind.

Here’s what they are saying:"Violence against women need urgent attention".


That’s according to the World Health Organization (WHO). One in three women faces physical or sexual violence, and nearly 25% of workplace violence happens in hospitals or clinics, with women being the most affected.

Rollbacks on bodily autonomy and restricted healthcare deny women's freedoms. Online abuse silences an harms. Yet #WHRDs persevere.
